Points of Diversity Inc.

We are a local non-profit with a 16 member board. Our board is designed to be representative of the community and is all volunteer. We have existed in the Roanoke Valley for 7 years.  This year we were the winner of the National Aicher Award from Everyday Democracy(WWW.EVERYDAY-DEMOCRACY.ORG) for giving voice to all, connection across difference, racial equity and community change/

Points of Diversity trains facilitators for small group dialogue to lead conversations with diverse participants on difficult topics such as racism. These conversations are designed to empower residents to be active participants in the community. We also sponsor training and work with  other departments and agencies working toward Equity and Empowerment . Our mission is to promote Inclusion and Equity of all the diversity of the Roanoke Valley.
