Description

Pet Sitting is a great way for teenagers to learn responsibility, effective communication, and more. Plus, it’s a flexible option for a first job that, with proper planning, can accommodate most schedules.

In this Humane Education course at the Roanoke Valley SPCA, teenagers can learn important facts, tips, and tricks to help them be an excellent caretaker for animals (both their own and other people’s pets). At the end of the course, your teenager will receive helpful reference handouts, First Aid reference recommendations, and more to help them get started.

Pet Sitting for Teens is open to individuals 13 years old and older. It costs $15 per attendee. Parents are encouraged to join with their child, but are not required to stay for the class.
