Volunteer: Senior Food Box ProgramLOA and Feeding America are in partnership with the new Senior Food Box program. Volunteers will help to provide enrolled seniors with a box of non-perishable food once per month, on the third Tuesday of the month. Volunteers are needed to deliver food boxes to client homes. Routes will be in the same zip code area. Routes will have 10 – 12 boxes (stops). Volunteers will need to be able to lift 30 pound boxes. Volunteers will need to load their car or truck. Routes consist of 12-18 homes and take about 1.5 hours to deliver. We work with all schedules. Volunteers work once per week, once per month and anything in between. It takes 42 volunteers per day to deliver to all 600 clients so we are ALWAYS in need of volunteers! Can you help?
