If so, we have opportunities in various locations/areas for you to provide companionship for our patients. Just an hour or two per week makes such a big difference in someone's life.

Companion/Friendly Visitor Volunteer Duties
- Offers on-site companionship, respite care, letter writing, homemaking chores and errands
- Donates his/her time to the supportive needs of patients and families who need the assistance, according to the plan of care
- Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing input into the Plan of Care and team meetings as appropriate
- Provides needed services to patient/caregivers such as shopping, meal preparation, respite for caregiver and other services agreed upon by Volunteer, Volunteer Coordinator and patient/caregiver

Service Areas: Roanoke, Alleghany, Rock Bridge, Nelson, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Botetourt, Craig, Campbell, Montgomery, Pulaski, Floyd, Franklin, Henry, Pittsylvania

ProMedica/ Heartland Hospice is seeking administrative/office volunteers to provide in-office assistance in some of the following ways: filing, scanning, copying, answering telephones, creating files, etc.
