We are still looking for PAWsome people to donate their time this Friday evening!
This is a unique volunteer opportunity in our community where we can prompt our facility AND fundraise. First Fridays in downtown Roanoke has selected and approved the RVSPCA as a recipient of their 2024 event efforts. First Fridays is an all-volunteer-run organization holding events with the specific purpose of raising money for others. Last year, they were able to donate over $45,000 for their participating organizations – and we are one of those recipients for this year!
We will be volunteering at their concert on Friday May 17th from 4:30pm-9:15pm. Volunteers for these events must be 21+ years old as we will be helping to sell drink tickets and serve drinks. Volunteers can dress comfortably (shorts are allowed) and will be assigned work in one of three areas:
1. Admissions (seated)
2. drink ticket sales (seated)
3. alcohol beverage dispensing (standing)
You do NOT need to be a current volunteer to help at First Fridays – so you can recruit your friends and family too!
