Every day Kids Soar offers dinner each evening at 5:30 to all the children and their families (as needed) in the literacy program. We serve dinner to 25 to 35 people Monday - Friday at our 2 locations. We are located at 305 Mountain Ave SW and at 1801 Dunbar St NW.
We are in need of people who are willing to prepare and serve a meal once a month or one-time only. Some groups sign up to prepare and serve the meal on the same day each month. For example, the first Tuesday of every month, or a group will only come once. Food can be prepared on or off site. Dinner is served at 5:30pm and is over at 6pm.
Expectations: Food for the meal will be brought to be prepared on site or food will be prepared off site and brought in, children will be served either family style or plated, and the dining room and kitchen cleaned before leaving. Staff and children will help with clean up. If you would like more information, please don't hesitate to call or email.
