Postpartum Support Virginia

Who We Are

Our mission is to educate families, healthcare providers, and communities about Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) and to provide resources to help new and expectant mothers and their families over come anxiety, depression, and other PMADs. Our vision is that all birthing people and parents in Virginia will receive information about PMADs, be screened for them during pregnancy and throughout the first year after birth and have access to resources for recovery.

What We Do

Connect families to mental health services by providing free support groups, pairing parents with peer-mentors, and train mental health providers as well as other health practitioners on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and how they can help their clients and where to refer.
