LVNRV's vision is to empower adults in the New River Valley by providing opportunities to achieve independence through literacy. LVNRV, a certified, locally-based affiliate of ProLiteracy Worldwide, is committed to a mission that includes: Increasing literacy for adults who function at or below the fifth grade reading level, their families, and those seeking to learn English as a second language; Effectively training, utilizing, and supporting volunteers and staff; Advocating for literacy, generating community support, and giving support to aligned agencies.
