Mission: New Horizons Healthcare is committed to increasing access to affordable, high quality, comprehensive and preventive health care that is culturally sensitive for the citizens of the Roanoke area. Our vision: Known for compassion, Chosen for excellence, Providing a healthy future for our community. Incorporated in 1999 as Kuumba Community Health and Wellness Center, the clinic opened its doors in December 2000, and has grown to serve more than 8700 individuals with over 30,000 patient visits annually. We have expanded services, staffing, and locations to meet the demand for affordable, accessible primary care and are one of the critical "safety net" agencies in the Roanoke Valley.

We offer primary health care services to all ages, regardless of income, insurance status, or residence. On-site services include medical care (pediatrics and adult/family medicine), behavioral health, pharmacy, dental, and health education. A sliding fee scale is available to those who meet income guidelines, and we accept most public and commercial insurance plans.
