Children's Assistive Technology Service

Who We Are

Founded by a group of pediatric physical therapists in 2014, we are an IRS designated 501(c)3 public charity headquartered in Franklin County, VA. However, because the need is so great, we quickly grew into a larger organization serving the entire state of Virginia, currently with three locations described as Roanoke, Richmond and Hampton Roads. Our mission is to make mobility and adaptive equipment available to ALL children with disabilities, when Medicaid and private insurance deny or delay coverage. We collaborate with all the large children's hospitals in Virginia, many clinics and school systems, and with Easter Seals. Our founder was just recognized in April 2018 by Virginia's Governor Northam. We depend entirely on a volunteer workforce, and donations from individuals, and grants from foundations and government.

What We Do

We refurbish donated, second hand pediatric rehabilitation and adaptive equipment (assistive technology!), and with make it available to Virginia's children with disAbilities who need it at no cost.
