Training is a vital tool to ensure that our volunteers feel comfortable in their role at CYP. If you would like to volunteer with us this year, please plan to join us for one of the volunteer training dates in August.
Tutoring and homework time is a major component of our program during the school year. This training will make sure you are up to date on new procedures and ensure that we are working together to help each CYP student achieve their goals. Below are a few things that will be covered in this training:
- The intent behind tutor folders and how we can use them to our advantage
- New homework and tutoring tracking procedures
- Best practices and above suspicion policies and procedures
- Updating paperwork and individual availabilities
- A chance to ask individual questions
As we continue to move forward into the new school year, I am hoping these meetings will keep us on the same page and get us started off right.
Important note: if you are a CYP driver, please bring your driver’s license and auto insurance information to the meeting. We will need to make a copy for our records.
