We're hosting a virtual wish granter volunteer training!
This training will be held to train wish granter volunteers throughout Virginia. No matter where you live in Virginia, if you're interested in becoming a wish granter volunteer, this is the training for you! Wish granters work in teams of two to help make wishes come true. This role involves interviewing the child and family to determine the wish, working with staff to help fulfill the wish and providing hope along the way to the wish child. Some wishes may involve a small wish celebration when the wish is granted! The time commitment varies, but we estimate 6-7 hours per wish over the span of the wish journey, with the wish interview and granting almost always take place in the evening or on a weekend.
We are looking for volunteers who can make a long-term commitment (minimum of one year). (Minimum age: 21)
