Our Annual event called Best in Show will be held this year on March 12 th at Charter Hall, located on the 3rd floor of the Market Building. This art show, sale and fundraiser for the Roanoke Valley SPCA will feature almost 300 local artists original art work, paintings, sculpture, pastels, and photography – depicting animals, to make Best in Show one of the most anticipated events in Roanoke.
So where do you come in? Your help is needed from March 11th through March 13th , with most of the shifts being held on March 12th .
Some “physical strength and muscular power” is needed for the moving and displaying of the art panels – set up and breaking down all 3 days. The heavier lifting shifts are:
- set up from 11:00am to 6:00pm on the 11th
- 8:00 pm on the 12th
- 9am to 11am on the 13th
The other shifts on March 12th vary greatly! They include:
- Catering set-up, serving and break down and clean up
- A Bartender (experience appreciated)
- Artwork Sales Helpers – personable and outgoing
- Greeter at the Campbell Avenue Side
- Greeter at the Salem Avenue Side of the Market Building
- General Clean-up & Art Removal and Break Down
