Do you want to be a star for Roanoke kids? Then become a Star City Reader for the 2016-2017 school year! Each Star City Reader is assigned to a preschool or elementary school class for the school year. You read three designated books aloud to your class, then give each child a book to keep. By the end of the year, each child will own 9 brand-new, age-appropriate books!
Your time commitment is relatively simple--just about an hour a month. We pick the books, and you just have to read them to your class!
Please be willing to commit for the entire school year, and please be able to volunteer during school hours.
