The Board of Supervisors is always seeking dedicated citizens interested in serving on the committees, commissions, and boards that address county and valley issues. Serving as a volunteer member of a committee can be a rewarding experience by providing citizens an opportunity to have a voice in how our government serves its people. Applications will be considered by board members as vacancies occur.

Public Policy Council (Chair: Mark Hudzik, Member One): The council, along with the Vice President of Public Policy, identifies and monitors local, state and federal policy issues of importance to Chamber members and the business community. The council takes action on policy issues by:
• Developing and advocating our Legislative Agenda
• Developing positions on legislative issues
• Assist in Chamber’s relationship management plan with elected officials
• Host candidate forums to provide educational opportunities for members to meet candidates and hear their views on business issues
Transportation Advocacy Group (Chair: Paul Anderson, AECOM) The committee meets with city, county, and state officials to review policies and procedures affecting transportation infrastructure in our region and provides testimony at transportation related public hearings. The committee considers and recommends transportation policies for the Chamber’s legislative agenda.
Council on Workforce Innovation and Connection (Chair: Todd Putney, Medical Facilities of America): This council aims to encourage workforce preparedness through collaboration with strategic partnerships, and advocates for initiatives to address the demand in Career and Technical Education.
