Responds to local disaster emergencies--single family fires, multi-family fires. Volunteers are scheduled based on availability--days, nights and weekends. Team meetings are held with Disaster Program Manager.
Training is free, with on the job training provided as well. Opportunity to gain knowledge and training for larger scale operations.
Volunteers will respond on the scene to help clients with immediate food, shelter and clothing needs. Volunteers are needed to responds in Botetourt, Roanoke County, Roanoke City, City of Salem and Southwest Virginia areas.
