The hardest part of pet ownership is saying goodbye to our beloved fur friends. This Earth Day, we are dedicating to showing love and respect for our community members and their departed animal companions who have found a final resting place at Pet Haven Memorial Gardens pet cemetery.
This outdoor project involves helping with landscaping, weeding, planting flowers, clearing debris from headstones, and raising headstones that have sunk into the ground. We will also be touching up the paint on our Rainbow Bridge!
There is no age requirement for this event. All children should be accompanied by a trusted adult. The gardens are not fenced in and volunteers will be using power tools such as hedge clippers, weed eaters, etc.
This is an excellent option for group volunteering, family volunteering, or one-time volunteer opportunities for service project hours.
This event is BYOGT: Bring Your Own Gardening Tools. We are in special need of metal shovels and weed eaters (with people who know how to use them)!
