What We Do

Volunteers are the heart of our hospice. They provide practical and emotional support to terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers may visit a patient weekly or on an as needed basis from 1-4 hours at a time. Volunteers are matched to patients considering proximity and scheduling preferences. Patient care volunteers frequently express what a privilege it is to walk with a family during this special time and how personally rewarding they have found it to be.We also need military veterans who visit with veteran patients and present the We Honor Veterans ceremony to express appreciation for their service to our country, as well as on-going visits.
